STOKE-ON-TRENT
COLLEGE:
'DON'T STOP NOW'.
Stoke-on-Trent
College is a sixth form college with two large campuses
in Stoke.
They
wanted to persuade students not to leave school as soon
as they reached school leaving age, but to carry on
to a sixth form College like Stoke.
The
college is largely vocational and the aim of the video
was to dramatise how further education could significantly
improve a student's chances of getting a good job and
a proper career.
Students
were interviewed from almost every department: Building;
Architecture; Music; Photography; Catering; Hairdressing;
Beauty Care; Automotive; Engineering.
The
theme of the video is 'Don't stop now' and in a dynamic,
visual way it tackles head-on the questions that might
be uppermost in any potential school leaver's mind,
such as 'Why go to college at all?' 'How much does it
cost?' ' 'What about the staff?' - and so on.
To
date, the College has duplicated and issued 6,000 copies
of the video on DVD.
