Eaglemoss are one of the world's leading publishers of partworks - collections of publications, figurines and other collectibles sold fortnightly in newsagents.

It's a fascinating business in marketing terms, since where most brand owners might - at most - launch one new product in a year, Eaglemoss (and other competitors) might launch as many as five or six.

Each new collection is launched on television and the emphasis is very much on immediate sales. The TV advertising has to positively drive sales in the first two weeks - and 'awarenesss' or 'brand building' are irrelevant.

All commercials are tested first in a test area then, if targets are met successfully, the launch will roll out nationally.
