Ironbridge Gorge Museums
Just South of
Telford lies the Ironbridge Gorge. In this small valley, just five
miles long, took place most of the key breakthroughs in ironmaking
that would make the Industrial Revolution possible.
Advances made
here would echo around the world, which is one of the reasons why,
today, the valley is designated as a World Heritage Site.
Iron wasn't the
only industry that came of age in the valley. The china clay and
tile-making industries also achieved mass-production status here,
bringing what had once been considered luxuries for the very rich,
to ordinary people everywhere.
The Museums
Trust needed a 10-minute video to show in their visitor centre and a
longer documentary - telling the history of the valley - to sell in
their shops.
